Love the new sounds, they're somehow a bit less harsh than the old ones.
Any plans to change the sounds for the games? Particularly the ones for wrong anagrams and incorrect guesses in hi-lo which I hate for being so harsh and intrusive!

And, none of the sounds are real, as all of them were done on a keyboard, you know.

I also love the new sounds. Like the first poster said, they are less harsh and jarring to the nerves.
I like the new sounds. I HATED the doorbell sound that we had before. And the sound when you lose points in Hi-Lo is annoying, just because it's so loud and intrusive!
I like the new sounds, especially the zbp sound! They are much softer then before, so that's good! Dont like the private qn sound though, sound makes me sick to my stomach! And I miss the doorbell tooo! Makes it seem more real! And I miss the logout sound a little too!
But well, this will really take some getting used to!
And I think that abnoxious high-low sound needs to go!

The old ones came from all over, mostly other keyboards.
my opinion on the sounds is sort of varried.
Firstly, I love the phone sound. I don't know why, i jsut absolutely love that sound, lol. I think that the public and private quicknote sounds could be redone, at least the private one. it's a bit less noticeable than it used to be. On the old one, the private sound was actually pretty cool, and was a lot more noticeable than the public one. I like the login and logout sounds, although in my opinion it would be nice to have something reversed. For example, an ascending type of sound for login and descending type of sound for logouts, but the ones here are also fine. And finally, the news sound is awesome. When i first hearsd that, i pretty much didn't have to read down, because I recognized the keyboard, lol.
Perhaps the old sounds could be made available for those who want to keep them. Just a thought.

I had thought of that as well. maybe there could be an option in the system sounds page. Of course if anyone's premium, you could just upload your own, but i, sadly, am not.
i love all the new sounds. i used to have my own, cause i'm premium, but i don't now because these ones are much better.
Yeah, The "wrong" answer or loss sounds in the games have got to go. My favorite game's souncs are in Keno. Haven't been able to hear the new sounds yet, as my PAC Mate doesn't play the sounds. I would have to log in to the Zone using my laptop to hear them. So, I think I'll do that and then report my faves for those.
Personally, I do not like the log on sound and have mine set with the welcome one from aol. The private qn sound is great but those game sounds do need a little work.
People never are satisfied. I asked when these were implemented that the zbp sound was maybe toned down slightly as it is louder than the rest, but otherwise these are nice sounds. I think out of the old ones, my favorite was the pqn sound, but the new one is just fine.
I do however agree and ask that some of the game sounds are freshened up and made a little less abrasive though.
I love the new sounds. they have a more modern sound to them. it's like when cell phones started playing poliphonic ringtones. lol
I love some of them, and don't like others. I don't get to hear when someone logs in or out, for some reason, the only sounds that play are the game sounds. Others use to play, but since the new sounds were brought in, the other ones haven't played. I think that the high low and anagram wrong sounds should be changed to the same one that is used in Keno and Stones when you lose. That one is much less aggressive. I really hate that wrong high low sound!! The "hey" on the busted in black jack should be something like "awww" or something a little less aggressive too. I'm trying right now to become a premium member so I can have all the new stuff. I'll look forward to the sounds feature in that one. I just hope the other sounds start playing again.
I'm having a similar problem. The QN, PQN, and system message sounds don't play for me, either as event triggered sounds or on the sound review page. The others seem to work correctly, so I am at a loss as to the diagnosis of this issue.
I pretty much like all of them... Yeah...
I also have this problem where i don't hear private quicknotes sounds, system sounds and i don't remember if there is anything else. However some play such as the news sound, audio profiles, name tags etc.
For this reason i stoped using the zone with internet explorer and i use it with firefox and the quicktime alternative.
I thought it was something wrong with my computer but if others have simmilar problems then it must be something wrong with the site i don't know. But why some play and some don't i don't understand.
And the fact that users have problems with different sounds it is strange.
I also enjoy the new sounds.
